About Saint Paul AME Church Kenly, N.C.

Our  History, Our Beliefs

Saint Paul AME Church is 190 years old.

On April 5, 1828, a plot of land was purchased from John T. and Sarah Revell on the corner of George T. Boykin land running into Kenly. This was the first site of Saint Paul AME Church, which was a two-room schoolhouse. The church has been on its present site since July 12, 1903.

We believe that we should minister to the social, spiritual and physical needs of the community and to foster a spiritual culture through God's Word.
